The Advanced Manufacturing program is designed to prepare you for employment and/or post-secondary education in a variety of manufacturing disciplines. Whether you go right into the workforce or continue onto college, this program will provide a solid pathway to success. Students in this program earn up to 15 college credits and high school credits simultaneously.
The first two years of study immerse you in all facets of manufacturing with computer lab work and actual hands-on application of tasks in a variety of areas including safety, product assembly and inspection, blueprint reading, lean manufacturing, and soldering techniques. The course utilizes MSSC’s industry leading Certified Production Technician training. MSSC’s full Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification consist of 5 stackable credentials: Safety and Employability, Manufacturing Process and Production, Quality Practices and Procedures, Maintenance Awareness, and GREEN Production.
There is also a third year option (Instructor approved) that is focused on Green Production Technology and Logistics. This will earn you two additional certifications: Certified Logistics Technician and Certified Green Production Technology. Together, these courses and certifications will provide you with the knowledge and expertise to begin a career in a variety of disciplines listed below and will provide a solid foundation for your success in the manufacturing world.
