OKALOOSA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Many of us have pets and consider our pets part of our family. The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has many dogs for adoption and had a vision to create a dog rescue video to encourage people to adopt a pet to become family members.
Payton Abner, a Fort Walton Beach High School senior in the Digital Video Technology program, created a very moving video for the dog rescue program at PAWS. Payton’s video project was featured last week in the Northwest Florida Daily News with a link to the video: https://www.nwfdailynews.com/news/20181129/video-helps-paws-animals-find-somebody-to-love.
After watching the video, I am sure that you will feel the same way I did—that she achieved the message she was trying to send through the creation of the video.
Congratulations to Payton on the success of the video and a job well done! Congratulations, too, to her teacher, Ivan McMillin, for teaching Payton the skills to be able to produce such a quality product.
